Foundation Of God

2 Timothy 2:19

God’s solid foundation STANDS FIRM, SEALED with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” &, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”

There are some people that chase after dreams, goals, promises of inheritance. The mission on this earth is to strive for a solid place, be it wealth, safety, love. Some run after things in the wrong places being scattered by life, yet still chasing something that gives their heart stability and comfort. Some find the grass is not greener on the other side of the goal. While others keep prospering in everything they do being satisfied with the life they lived. Some people might have had their faith shaken by trauma but others have faith to believe in the impossible that pushed them to make the impossible possible.

With every promise and dream, thriving or shattered to dust there is one foundation that is a guarantee. That is the foundation of God. Jesus the Rock of Ages as said in hymnal: "Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee." Rock of Ages has been used in hymns of truth that God is everlasting. His foundation is everlasting. That even after this life fades away, your eternal life is secured in God's foundation. No matter what life gives us joyous or disappointing we can hide and seek refuge in God. Jesus said when this life is over He has a house with many rooms that He has built special and prepared for specifically just for you to be in perfect peace and perfect unity with Him in eternal Glory.

This life is like shifting sands but God is our solid foundation.

Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself is the Rock eternal.

1 Corinthians 3:11

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
