2 Corinthians 2:15
For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
Ancient perfume makers would take spices & fragrant materials to make incense. They would crush and burn up plants and minerals allowing the aroma to diffuse everywhere. Offering aromatic botanicals of the highest purity and superiority. God says your worship is like a pleasing aroma to Him, acceptable. What is acceptable to God? Our obedience. What kind of obedience? Our time, talent, and treasure.
God wants to spend time with you. A relationship is built on time together. Getting to know each other in intimate settings. When we dedicate our time to worship God it sets the stage for everything else in our life to follow in alignment with God's order.
God wants us to serve with our best gifts. Our God-given talents or the trained skills we were blessed with. He will use you in creative ways and making a straight path for you doing the things you love the most. God will bring you into the fulfillment of something new with enjoyment you have never experienced.
God wants to gift you as you gift others. Your generosity will open doors for you. Your blessed to be a blessing for others.
Lastly, humility. When you lay your heart down to God in submission. That is the heart that God desires. One that is not prideful, pure, and genuine, set in adoration ready to praise the Lord. Your praise is a soothing aroma to God. Lift up your worship to Heaven. Sing and praying in worship about the goodness of the Lord and all He has done for you. God is listening
Exodus 29:25
Then you shall take them from their hands, add them to the burnt offering, and burn them on the altar for a sweet and soothing aroma before the Lord; it is an offering by fire to the Lord.
