Preparation

Step 1

Accepting Jesus and repentance and renouncing but also changing your whole lifestyle & renewing your mind (Romans 12:2). If temptation is too great some have to move away. This is when you allow Jesus into your heart, not rely on feelings but learning to adjust being led by the Holy Spirit through the word of God. Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ (Romans 10:17). Abiding to the word of God, the word sets you free (John 8:31-32).

We can uproot all the demons out of you, but if you do not fill those empty spaces with the Word of God, you will go right back to the oppression or torment, and it will get 7 times worse. (Matthew 12:45)

The first question I always ask is, have you given your life to Jesus? Have you allowed Jesus to be ruler over your life? That is number one. If you haven’t, we need to pray for Jesus to be Lord over your life. (Romans 10:9-10, John 14:6, 6:65)

Let's pray,

Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Today, I am setting my heart and mind on You knowing that You are good and faithful. I am seeking you first. I put You as Lord (Master, dominion, author) over my life. I forgive myself of my sins, negative words of my mouth & evil thoughts in my mind/heart knowing and unknowing, willing and unwilling. Holy Spirit guild my heart, my steps and help me to choose to remain in You, to follow in your way, truth and life. Father, I pray for wisdom according to your word. I declare hope in you and declare to renew my mind and change my behaviors to honor and serve you. This is a new day of joy and transformation.

Step 2

Some need more help in casting things out that they know and what they do not know is there. Demons operate in clusters, there is not just one. That is why there is the form. Yes, you might have opened the door in one area, but it invites all this other stuff with it. All of that must be uprooted and cast out in the Name of Jesus. There is only one instance where Jesus commanded the evil spirits to enter swine instead of the abyss (Mark 5:12-13), other than that Jesus issued the following commands and statements when casting demons out:

  • "Go!" (Matt. 8:32b).

  • Rebuked the demon (Matt. 17:18).

  • "Be quiet and come out of him" (Mark 1:25).

  • "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit" (Mark 5:8).

  • "You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter him no more" (Mark 9:25).

  • "You are loosed from your infirmity" (Luke 13:12b).

  • "Unbind him, and let him go" (Luke 1:44c).

Step 3

Then there are more deep-rooted things that only come out through prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29. "So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."). It's not like a fast where you just give up soda or whatever. A hardcore fast of water and you anoint yourself every day with olive oil and you pray without seizing. (Matthew 6:17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face) Fasting in the Greek means to abstain from food, because you are subjecting your body to the Holy Spirit and God's will.
